TWO UNPUBLISHED FRAGMENTARY VALABHI GRANTS.
I. The Pithadia Grant of Dhafass.va II.
This fragmentary grant, which is in reaiity the first half of it,
was amt to me for decipherment by Mr. H. E. F. Percy, tutor and
companion to a Prince at Pithadia ;j«pur, Kathiawar) in January'
1934. It belongs to D. S. Mulu Vais Saheb, CI.E. It w» found
lying in one of the drawers of a table, and had chalked acre® it the

This plate, which measures 10J“X8" and contains 22 lines, is
issued from ValabhL The kings mentioned In th* Genealogical Table
are (1) SenSpati Bhatarira. the founder of the ruling house, and
his four sons : (2) Dtuuasma I. (3) Diouasiitiha. <4) DhniTascna I,
(5) Dlsiapallu ; No. 5 was succeeded by his son (6) Guhawna ; (7)
Dhansena II, son of Gahawna the donor of the present grant.
Almost all the Valabhi Rulers, though staunch devotees of Sira,
were tolerant Hindu kings Dharapatla. who a also called Dhaia-
